Every Five-Star Men's Team in EA Sports FC 27

The new elite European football season is finally here, and with it comes the video game that everyone loves to hate: EA Sports FC. Formerly known as FIFA, the latest installment of EA Sports' iconic football franchise will be released on September 25th, with fans already salivating at the prospect of playing with their favorite teams, as well as creating their own Ultimate Team. 

EA FC's Continued Rise in Popularity 

The franchise has risen to unimaginable levels of popularity over the last 10-15 years, so much so that online betting sites now offer bets on FIFA gamers playing against each other online. For example, FIFA esports betting has become incredibly popular, with some crypto betting outlets streaming games live on their platform, allowing bettors to follow the action in real time. No doubt punters will be itching to see their favorite gamers back in action when EA FC 27 officially releases at the end of September, but already, the game's producer has caused quite the stir in releasing the top-ranked players and teams within the new title. Prolific strikers Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are the two men that EA Sports consider the finest players on the planet today, rating both at 91 overall, the joint-highest in the game. But which teams are considered the planet's finest? 

EA FC 27 has eight club teams that are currently rated at a perfect five stars. So, who are they? Let's take a look. 

Paris Saint-Germain 

The first of EA's top-rated teams should come as no surprise. Paris Saint-Germain won the UEFA Champions League for the second straight season back in May, rallying from 1-0 down to beat Arsenal on penalties in Budapest to become just the second team ever to successfully defend the big-eared trophy. 

The French giants are stacked with talent right throughout their lineup, with the menacing strike force of Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Désiré Doué supported by midfielders Fabián Ruiz, Vitinha, and João Neves. Not only that, but Nuno Mendes is officially now the greatest left back in EA FC/FIFA history, with his 89 rating surpassing the 88 of former Real Madrid left back Marcelo. They will take some stopping both virtually and in real life next term. 

Real Madrid 

Real Madrid have endured a dismal couple of years in which they haven't picked up a single piece of silverware. As such, President Florentino Perez has been forced to turn back toward one of his iconic former managers in the form of Jose Mourinho. The Special One inherits a five-star squad led by talismanic striker Kylian Mbappe, while new signings Yan Diomande, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, Marc Cucurella, and Bernardo Silva provide some much-needed reinforcements. 

Manchester City 

Manchester City are a team in transition. Legendary manager Pep Guardiola departed at the end of last season, while long-serving stars such as John Stones and the aforementioned Bernardo Silva followed him out of the Etihad. Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has taken over, while highly rated midfielder Elliot Anderson has arrived from Nottingham Forest, but the recent 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal in the Community Shield has proven that there is much work to be done if the Blues are to compete next season. 

Bayern Munich 

Bayern Munich were in blistering form last season and looked on course to secure a famous treble until they were beaten by PSG in the Champions League semifinals. England captain Harry Kane remains the talisman after racking up a whopping 73 goals in all competitions for club and country last season. He is flanked by the sensational Michael Olise and Luis Diaz, who form arguably Europe's most devastating front three.

Arsenal 

Arsenal finally ended a 22-year-wait for the Premier League title last season, and they have been rewarded by EA with a five-star squad for the third straight year. Much of the Gunners' success last term was built on the staunch backline of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, both of whom are rated 89 overall, while energetic midfielder Declan Rice is rated 88. They are the favorites to win the Premier League again next term, and their recent win against Manchester City in Cardiff has only strengthened their resolve. 

Barcelona 

Barcelona have dominated Spanish football across the last two years, winning five of the six domestic trophies on offer throughout that time frame, including back-to-back La Liga titles. Lamine Yamal is the jewel in the crown, and he is rated 90 overall in EA FC 27, while he is supported up top by the additions of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund. The arrival of World Cup Player of the Tournament Rodri in central midfield also adds some much-needed steel to a team that was already oozing class. 

Liverpool 

Liverpool's Premier League title defense last season was a disaster, with the Reds slumping down to fifth place in the table, resulting in manager Arne Slot and long-time hero Mohamed Salah both leaving the club. Still, EA give them a five-star rating for next season, but another dire campaign could see them lose their status as one of the game's elite. 

Atletico Madrid 

Atletico Madrid are perhaps the most surprising five-star team on this list. They reached the Champions League semifinals last season despite a fourth-place finish in La Liga. Diego Simeone has been forced to rebuild his Rojiblancos this summer following the departures of stars such as Antoine Griezmann and Matteo Ruggeri, while Julian Alvarez could well follow them out the door. 

In their place come names such as Cristian Romero and Alejandro Grimaldo to strengthen the backline, but will that be enough to catapult Atleti back into La Liga contention? EA Sports certainly thinks so.
